FAQ

Quick answers to the most popular questions.

Q: How much does preventative pest control cost?

Answer:
Our year-round plan is $150/month or $1,500/year (saves you $300 if you pay annually). That covers monthly perimeter and foundation treatment for ants, spiders, mice deterrent, wasps, and occasional invaders.

Most Worcester County homes fit the standard pricing. Larger properties (over 3,000 sq ft) might cost a bit more depending on how much perimeter we’re treating.

Q: Is monthly treatment really necessary?

Answer:
It depends on what you’re trying to prevent. If you’re only worried about one specific pest (like ants in spring), you might not need monthly service. But if you’re dealing with different pests throughout the year (ants in spring, wasps in summer, spiders in fall, mice trying to get in during winter), monthly treatment catches them before they get inside.

The treatment we apply breaks down over time. Monthly visits keep the barrier fresh so pests don’t find gaps.

Q: Will this get rid of pests I already have inside?

Answer:
No. This plan prevents new pests from getting in. If you already have mice in your walls, ants in your kitchen, or wasps building nests, you need active treatment first.

Once the current problem is gone, preventative service keeps it from coming back. We’ll be honest during your first inspection about whether you need treatment before starting monthly service.

Q: Is the treatment safe for pets and kids?

Answer:
Yes. We use EPA reduced-risk products, which are designed to target pests without harming people or pets when used correctly.

After we treat, keep pets and kids off treated areas until the product dries (usually 1-2 hours depending on weather). Once it’s dry, they can go back outside. We’ll give you clear instructions during the first visit.

Q: Do I need to be home when you treat?

Answer:
No. Most of our treatment is exterior (foundation, siding, soffits). As long as we can access your property, we don’t need you home.

We’ll text you the day before so you know we’re coming. If you have dogs that need to be inside or gates that need to be unlocked, just let us know and we’ll coordinate.

Q: What if I’m still seeing pests after treatment starts?

Answer:
Call us. If you’re seeing pests inside your home within the first 30 days, we’ll come back and figure out what’s happening. Sometimes there’s a gap we missed, or there’s an active infestation that needs more than perimeter treatment.

The plan includes unlimited service calls between scheduled visits. If something’s not working, we fix it.

Q: Can I cancel if I don’t need it anymore?

Answer:
Yes. No long-term contract. If you want to cancel, give us 30 days notice and we’ll stop service. If you paid annually and cancel mid-year, we’ll prorate the refund based on how many months you used.

Q: Why are some companies cheaper?

Answer:
Two reasons:

  1. Different treatment schedules. Some companies do quarterly service (every 3 months) instead of monthly. That’s fine for some pests, but in central mass, you’re dealing with different pests every season. Monthly catches them before they establish.
  2. Different products. We use EPA reduced-risk products that cost more but are safer for families and pets. Some companies use cheaper products with longer residual times. Those work, but we think the tradeoff isn’t worth it for residential homes.
